XPump — Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 26, 2026
Short version
XPump collects no personal data. Everything stays on your device.
What we collect
Nothing.
XPump runs entirely on your iPhone. We don't operate any servers, we don't have user accounts, we don't track you, we don't measure analytics, we don't use third-party SDKs, and no data ever leaves your device.
What stays on your device
The app stores your character (name, class, appearance), your quest progress, your XP and level, your streak, your season history, and which prestige icons you've unlocked. All of this lives in Apple's local SwiftData store on your phone. Deleting the app deletes the data.
Permissions
XPump asks for one permission, and only when you choose to use it:
- Photos (Add Only): When you tap "Save image" inside the share preview, we ask for permission to save the generated achievement card to your Photos library. We never read your existing photos. The "add only" permission level means iOS limits us to writing — we have no read access.
Sharing
When you share an achievement card from inside XPump, the iOS share sheet sends the image (and a short caption plus a link to https://benhowdle.im/xpump) to whichever app you choose — Messages, Instagram, Mail, etc. XPump itself does not see, log, or transmit any information about what you share or where.
Children
XPump does not knowingly collect any data from children, because XPump does not collect any data from anyone.
Changes to this policy
